Lasting from Friday afternoon through Sunday morning, the retreat will have a guiding structure of discussions, shared meals, and prayer, but will leave plenty of time to enjoy the beach and waterfront activities offered by Camp DeWolfe.
EDNY is covering the majority of retreat costs, so participation in this retreat, including all meals, activities, and lovely waterfront accommodations, is just $100 per person. Additional financial assistance is available. Transportation to Camp DeWolfe is not included, but will be coordinated via the LIRR & ride shares for those interested.

Prayer for the Holy Land
The Church of the Ascension will host an ecumenical service of prayer for peace in the Holy Land on June 8 at 11:30 am.
"Our preacher will be the Rev. Dr. Munther Isaac, pastor of the Christmas Lutheran Church in Bethlehem, joining us remotely. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear a powerful Palestinian Christian voice directly! We will welcome colleagues from the Lutheran Church (ELCA), Churches for Middle East Peace, Riverside Church, and others — as well as special music from the oud player of the Armenian band Armadi Tsayn. All are welcome; please join in prayer for peace, justice, security and freedom for all in the land that is holy to so many."
Many of our network members and leaders will be in attendance.
Gaza Protest Listening Forum & Eucharist
Members of our Young Adult Network have been participants in the recent city-wide protests regarding Gaza and the participation of our civic institutions in the ongoing bombardment of Palestine, risked arrest, or been arrested.
Meanwhile, many 20's and 30's across the Diocese feel quite intensely about their own local church official's response, or non-response, to this issue, and have been expressing this often and privately, particularly where public statements are made.
In this spirit, the Young Adult Advisory Council (YAAC) is going to hold a Gaza Protest Listening Forum & Eucharist this Tuesday, May 7th as an opportunity to get together as the young members of our diocese, along with clergy, to frankly discuss and express your thoughts on the church's role in this issue.
We'll also have a brief Eucharistic service as a container for our discussion. Please RSVP below or using this form.
